Our Stories is an immersive sound and book installation which take a journey down memory lane and rivisit tales and fables of our childhood. Twelve voices, twelve memories, twelve cultures. Each person recalls a tale or fable from their childhood, retelling it as they remember it today, reflecting on the values they carried from those stories and revealing how those timeless values still hold in their lives. A 1092-second sound piece plays through a headphone embedded in a hand-bound, hand-carved book, its body sculpted like the grooves of a vinyl, each of its 1092 pages carrying a trace of resonance, turning the act of reading into the act of listening.
